Alan Hudson is a political economist working in international development. He has spent the last 20 years analysing issues around globalisation, sovereignty and accountability for development. His goal remains that of enhancing understanding in order to change the world and tackle global poverty. Results have been mixed, but progress is possible!

Alan is currently working with DFID’s Policy Division as a Governance Adviser, having recently completed 7 months with DFID Ethiopia. Prior to that Alan was a Research Fellow at the Overseas Development Institute, an Adviser to the UK Parliament’s International Development Select Committee, and an academic at the Open University and the University of Cambridge. Alan’s CV is available here.
